This item comes with 5 individual packets of yogurt starter, each to make about 1.5 quarts of yogurt. The bag comes with pretty simple instructions, but of course, depending on if you’re using some other method, yogurt pot, instant pot, etc., you can adjust accordingly. I usually use plain yogurt as my starter, but these are nice to have for a variety of reasons. I want to also try to experiment with non-cows milk with these. Straightforward and have a decent expiration date over 1.5 years in the future.
This starter for yogurt was easy to add to a crock pot recipe. It didn't thicken like store bought yogurt and was more the consistency of yogurt drinks. When I followed the recipe (which was similar to the one on the package, just using a crock pot since I didn't have an incubator) it tasted really good. Add granola and fruit to it and my kids gobbled it up. It's to store in fridge or freezer. Instructions were clear and easy to follow but you can use the culture with any yogurt recipe. It provided the tangy flavor you expect from yogurt.

Bimby, riuscita perfetta!
I have bought this starter many times and the taste is clean and pleasantly tangy. My batches always set on the runny side though. Even when I use the greek style program on my yogurt maker the result is still light and pourable. I enjoy it this way for drinking and for smoothies, so it works for me. If you want a very thick spoonable yogurt, this culture may not be the best fit unless you plan to strain it after fermenting.
There is a sweetener that I don,t like to have, but overall its good
